IX New Client Management Panel
Finally, the IX web hosting officially released their new client management panel after some days' serious waiting. If you are IX customer at the moment, simply login to your account panel and feel the changes. If you're not their client yet, you can also check out this video page and learn more about it.
Ix new panel improvements
Please Note, the new management panel is referring to account control panel where we manage billings, hosting products and support etc, it's not about hosting control panel, IX still uses H-sphere control panel at the moment.
The new management panel is actually redesigned version of the old one. The improvement is pretty clear comparing to the old vague version. Everything is categorized and users can navaigate more efficiently. If you're not sure how inefficient the old one is, the "go back to old interface" link is provided, just go ahead to compare. It also introduce a feature called "badges" where the system will auto assign your country flag based your georgraphy location. The latest promotions are listed alongside.
What I liked most is about billing managing. Before their change, the only option is about billing periods I can select and once I confirm, the system will auto renew my service. It's absolutely what I expected. From new control panel, such issues got fixed and actually improved more than expected. In short, the new management panel is designed by following the popular CMS softwares like wordpress, joomla. Because of the improvement, people won't be feeling hard to use ix services even for novice!
The history of IX new management panel
Just from last Wendsday, I received an email from IX company talking about some IXleaks, I was just confused about what's being said there and went to their blog post. It's about an interview between IX representative and client. They're talking about some new projects from IX but the interview is full of fun so I thought it was just a joke and ignored. However, when I open my email this morning I received the "Product final release" announcement from IX team. I'm just shocked and can't wait to check out the new panel.
The predictable effect
The new platform will definitely make IX more professional in offering hosting service. Plus the previous blog marketing, more users will be redirected to their website. Because of their excellent hosting offer, they can easily catch more customers. Is IX good enough for hosting? Well, I have signed IX linux hosting unlimited pro plan last year, I can't say they're the best but no serious problem yet. It's good deal if you're going to host a small to medium size website. Since their windows platform is configured on old technologies, I would not consider it if you like to be hosted on up to date server.
