Server uptime and reliability – The postgresql already optimized itself. By deploying postgresql to hosting server, it should meet 99% uptime guarantee at least.

I’ve been with pacifichost for just 2 months now (I’m using their shared hosting Package) and have received nothing but quality service.

Like most people, I’ve tried a variety of hosting companies and, although I haven’t had many troubles, I’ve dealt with overloaded servers, slow customer service and various account limitations.

Pacifichost’s reliability is great with little downtime, the cause of which is always explained before hand or immediately, if it was unplanned, but what really stands out is their customer service. I have sent a handful of “tickets” to support and I always receive an answer promptly (often within minutes).

I asked in the support ticket if there’s any way they keep backups of our sites. They quickly responded and within an hour, I got my deleted files back – and my website running again.
I am just experienced enough to cause real damage, and they have been patient and helpful at all times – can’t reccomend them highly enough!

Great overview! While these are good options for pure hosting, a lot of companies are looking for fully managed PostgreSQL hosting to help them automate their replication, backups, monitoring, query analysis, upgrades, scaling, etc. These users should take a look at ScaleGrid who provides a fully managed PostgreSQL hosting service to see how they can optimize performance and keep their team focused on product: https://scalegrid.io/postgresql.html
